HOW DOES THE SLEEP SERIES WORK?

Classes will be free and LIVE on Zoom Tuesdays 12:00pm - 1:00 pm MT

6 Weekly Zoom Classes (60 mins) on 10/8, 10/15, 10/22, 10/29, 11/5, 11/12 modern sleep science, mindfulness for insomnia, an ancient practice for deep sleep, and discussion.

Recordings Are Available so you can sign up to learn if you can’t make it live.

Weekly Group Q+A (15 mins) so you can ask a professional sleep coach all your questions, learn from the group and get personal guidance.

Tools and Practices The live, Zoom sessions combine education and experiential practice with techniques.

    Learn how to use an official sleep diary to record your sleep patterns, quality and track changes as you implement these techniques.

THE SLEEP SERIES IS facilitated BY lauren

Lauren Ziegler is a Sleep Coach and Certified Yoga Therapist bringing a unique blend of expertise in psychology, practical mindfulness skills and sleep science. Lauren offers adult sleep coaching to help people get out of the cycle of insomnia.

Lauren also works at medical and psychiatric clinics facilitating clinical treatments for sleep disorders. She has also helped millions of people with rest and relaxation through her partnerships with top sleep apps.

WHAT WE’LL COVER

Packed with education on the biology of sleep, the principles of mindfulness essential to overcome sleep issues and experiential Yoga Nidra to train your body and mind to let go into sleep, each class consists of both scientific information and actionable tools. 

CLASS #1:

Your Personalized Sleep Plan

Learn more about the importance of evening routine and creating a sleep-friendly environment using sensory cues (i.e. lighting, scents, sounds). You will be offered a sleep diary to record your sleep patterns, sleep quality, and track changes throughout this series.

CLASS #2:

Sleep From a Holistic Perspective

Learn more about the mind-body connection in sleep, how stress affects your sleep, and the sleep cycles. We will explore practices that promote relaxation and ease tension in areas that can affect sleep, like the neck and shoulders.

60 minute live-class: Lecture, experiential practice + discussion

CLASS #3:

Breathing Techniques to Prepare for Sleep

Learn more about the physiology of how breathing control impacts the nervous system and its role in sleep regulation. We will also practice breathing techniques designed to prepare your system for better sleep that you can practice before bed or when you get into bed.

60 minute live-class: Lecture, experiential practice + discussion

CLASS #4:

Yoga Nidra: The Yogic Sleep

Explore Yoga Nidra, also known as “yogic sleep,” a deeply relaxing practice that can improve your experience falling asleep and deep sleep quality. We’ll practice a full Yoga Nidra session with a focus on relaxing your body and mind.

60 minute live-class: Lecture, experiential practice + discussion

CLASS #5:

Yoga to Calm the Mind and Sleep Better

Learn more about the role of yoga in reducing stress and calming the mind for better sleep and the benefits of restorative yoga in particular for relaxation. Enjoy a yoga session with a focus on poses that will help you sleep better.

60 minute live-class: Lecture, experiential practice + discussion

CLASS #6:

Build your Sacred Sleep Routine

Recap the key teachings from yoga, meditation, and sleep science (the techniques from this series) so you can review what works for you and build your own pre-bed rituals.
